The Cadence app

Cadence turns text into speech entirely on your Mac. The text you type or paste, the recordings you make, and the voices you add are stored on your Mac and are never sent to us or anyone else.

The app connects to the internet only to download its speech model (from Hugging Face, where Zyphra publishes it) and, if you turn on Listen back, the model that checks each recording. Those downloads come from the provider's servers, which see a normal web request from your Mac, as with any download. The app has no analytics, tracking or accounts.

This website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking. Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses and pages requested) for security and reliability.

Buying

Purchases are handled by our payment provider, who collects what's needed to process your order (such as your name, email address and payment details) under their own privacy policy. We receive your email address and order details so we can deliver your purchase and help with any problems. We never see your full card details.
