The plain-language terms for buying and using Cadence and its voice packs.
Your licence
When you buy Cadence, you get a personal licence to install and use it on Macs you own or control. Voice packs are licensed the same way. Please don't share or resell the app or packs.
What you make
Audio you create with Cadence is yours to use, including commercially, provided you have the right to use the text and the voice.
Voices and consent
Only add voices of people who have given you permission. Don't use Cadence to impersonate anyone, to deceive or defraud, or to make content that is unlawful, harassing or harmful. We may refuse service to anyone who misuses it.
Refunds
If Cadence doesn't run on your Mac, email within 14 days of your purchase and we'll help or refund you.
Requirements and changes
Cadence needs . It's provided "as is": we work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise it will be free of errors or suit every purpose, and to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid.
Open source
Cadence's speech comes from ZONOS2 by Zyphra, which is released under the MIT licence. Its licence notices are included with the app.
